Chelsea heavily criticised by academy striker

Olympique Lyon striker Bertrand Traore believes that he wasn’t given a chance to prove himself at Chelsea.
After several loan spells away, former Ajax striker chose to join Lyon for £8m in the summer.
And he admits making it at Chelsea as an academy player is next to impossible after his experience in Cobham.
Traore said in the interview with Onze Mondial: “Why did it not work? I do not know.
“I fought, I reached the first team. But, in Chelsea, it’s almost impossible to impose yourself as a starter. And I wanted to be a starter when you are a player from the training centre … I’m proud of what I did there before I left.
“Leaving the academy, joining the first team and scoring goals in the pros, it’s not bad.”
Bertrand Traore had quite a successful loan spell at Amsterdam Ajax. He has played in 38 matches for Eredivisie giants and scored 13 goals for the club. He reached the UEFA Europa League Cup final last season but the Holand giants lost against Manchester United.
As for his Lyon career, he has played in 15 games so far and scored five goals for Ligue 1 club.
