Gary Neville heaped praise on Cesc Fabregas for his performance as Chelsea secured a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Spanish midfielder was in top form for the west London side as Antonio Conte’s men bounced back from their 3-0 loss to Roma in the Champions League last week with an impressive display in west London.
After a goalless first half at Stamford Bridge, Alvaro Morata headed the home side into the lead in the 55th minute with a brilliant header from Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross.
Fabregas and Eden Hazard were both in top form for Chelsea as the Blues claimed an important victory against the Red Devils in the title race.
But it was the Spanish midfielder who former Manchester United defender Neville was particularly impressed by at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Neville said: “Fabregas was fantastic, I have to say. He really was. He was absolutely outstanding.
“Hazard and Fabregas are the threats in this Chelsea team and they had too much joy.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 18 November.
The Blues are aiming to defend their Premier League title this season after having lifted the trophy in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge last term.
Sunday’s defeat, meanwhile, left Manchester United eight points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new seasonby Taboola
