Not a curse: the lamentations of an average Nigerian
Israel Lawson
I have never gotten so disgusted with Nigerian
leaders n policies than when I realized d secret
behind China's economic revolution.
See the difference for yourself.
In China, every citizen gets bank loans at 1%
interest rate for d period 20 to 30 years
repayment plan.
But in Nigeria, citizens gets bank loans at
22-26% interest rate for d period of 1-2 years
repayment plan, yet u must tender ur great
grand father's skull as collateral before u may
be considered.
Thousands of gifted n industrious Nigerians r
dying everyday of hunger n starvation, turning
our cemeteries into a bank of creative ideas that
where never harnessed nor exercised due to
lack of funding. While other countries r using
their money to develop n fund their citizens
dreams n aspirations thereby turning out to be
numbered among d developed countries.
This is how d Chinese government has proven to
d whole world that China's money belongs to the
Chinese first before any other consideration.
But in Nigeria, we r talking about foreign
reserves when we can't empower or finance
even one tenth of our citizenry.
May posterity never forgive our law makers who
can but do not want to make good laws that can
alleviate suffering from our poor masses.
May posterity never forgive our CBN policy
makers for watching millions of Nigerians
suffering without making any effort to bail them
out when d solution to this Nation's economy is
at their finger tips.
May posterity never forgive d Federal Ministry of
finance n her leadership for playing games with
human lives.
May posterity never forgive all d past Nigerian
head of States for closing their eyes against the
cries of d poor.
May posterity never forgive all d past
Democratic Presidents n all d members of their
Federal executive councils for being wicked to
loot our treasuries at d expense 170 million
dreams n aspirations.
Lastly, may d tsunami of d Almighty God strike d
head President Muhammad Buhari n all d
members of his Federal executive council if they
for any reason fails to fix this problem of funds
easy and affordable accessibility, for d interest n
benefit of d poor Nigerian masses.
When Buhari promises common 5000 naira
monthly stipend to poor Nigerians, it hurts my
reasoning when he and d members of his
families r living big, flying fleet of private jets all
around d world but all he can offer the poor
masses who r d original owners of d cool cash
he is lavishing is only 5000 naira to survive with,
in a whole 31 days.
I think someone should help me tell buhari he
should stop mocking at Nigerians.
